Instead of being a distraction at concerts, in this live AR music experience, plai studio used phones as an active part of the show. The system developed enable artists to extend their creative from the stage into an immersive digital layer. The singular AR lens reacts to the music in realtime. Users can jump in and out of the AR, since it is always there with something new and exciting. An AR DJ worked with the Kygo team to trigger the AR effects, similar to how a VJ or lighting tech does at a live show. Each song had its own visuals matching the stage visuals and light show, moving to the beat. The experience was delivered in realtime to over 22,000 fans Kygo shows in London and Ibiza.
