Mouldy is a short animated film commissioned by Norwich City Council that I worked on as part of the animation collective Ahoy! Animation. The goal was to make an engaging, original piece that explains how tenants can reduce problems caused by condensation and mould in their homes. That’s how the character Mouldy was born - an overweight patch of mould who wants to slim down by having people cut down the excess moisture in their houses. The film speaks directly to younger audiences, who are often the best at sparking change in their households. By combining clear information with a playful character, we made the message accessible and memorable for all ages.
